The Wine Festival

Held on the 1st weekend of November.

Wine Festival was initially launched as a celebration among a group of friends at the end of the harvest season and has become a showcase of the best Terra Alta wines.

Around the Gandesa wine cooperative are installed the stands. They belong to different cooperatives within the region and private cellars as well where you can taste for free the different wines. On Saturday the cooperative with offers a gift to all attendees and during the afternoon and opened the stands.


During the show itself various events related to the world of wine are organized, including several conferences dealing with the problems of agricultural courses and wine tasting.

One of the outstanding act during the Wine Festival is a music concert with a symphony orchestra, and other manifestations of a more folk-like giant meetings.

On Saturday the festival ends with a popular dance, that shakes the body of either young and old until late at night.

The next day, comes the long awaited event, lunch with the traditional "clotxa" typical lunch of grape harvesters, which is composed by one side of emptied bread and filled with grilled tomato and garlic and a herring. However, those who don't like fish, won't suffer hunger, as the herring is cut together well.
