The "Panilló" is a very old tradition in Gandesa which is celebrated on All Saints' Day. The "panilló" is a rounded bread which is baked specifically for the occasion, that the godfathers give to their godchilds, usually accompanied by sausage, fruit, chestnuts, and "panellets". All of this within a wicker basket. Formerly the grandparents (many of them were also the godfathers) visited the cemetery and arranged the niches while the children ate the afternoon snack.
